My name is Lindsey Pitts and I have been an early childhood educator and child development researcher for 12 years. While I love working with children of all ages, my passion is in early childhood education. More specifically, I’m a huge supporter of parent involvement and the positive effects it has on children’s development, as well as play based curriculum and instruction in project based and hands on learning.
I am very excited to be part Tiny Tots, a unique preschool where children have the opportunity to thrive in their natural environment - physically, socially, and cognitively. As many know, every child is an individual and learns at his/her own pace. My hope is to foster individualized learning opportunities for every student at Tiny Tots, in group and social settings. I believe each child should have learning experiences unique to his/her own interests and capabilities. I also work along side our parent volunteers to support children in appropriate social and emotional development, which is highly important to establish before entering a school-age classroom.
I received both my BA & MA in Childhood Development from California State University Sacramento (all but thesis). I currently reside in Natomas, with my husband Will, and our two children Mikaila and Preston.
I look forward to getting to know you and your child!
